About Jim Jung
An engineer who learned to be persuasive — the hard way.
I spent forty years selling complex, technical work to people who needed a reason to believe before they’d buy. Engineers solve problems with logic. Business buyers decide with emotion. I bridge that gap, because I’ve lived on both sides of it.
The arc
From a dairy farm to refrigeration plants on three continents to the page. Each stop taught the same lesson: the work has to speak for itself, and someone has to make it speak clearly.
Wisconsin
Dairy-country roots
Born and raised in Milwaukee. During and after college I worked and operated a 620-acre dairy farm in Manitowoc County. That’s where the work ethic came from.
1982–2020s
Four decades in industrial refrigeration
Manufacturer’s rep, plan-and-spec specialist, design-build contractor, project manager, and professional industrial engineer. Ammonia systems, CO₂ liquefaction plants installed worldwide, and large food-processing facilities. I traveled just short of Delta’s million-mile club.
Today
The diagnosis, then the pivot
After ~40 years I named the real problem: the personal relationships degraded as the business expanded. Great reputations, no marketing cadence. So I moved into copywriting and sales enablement — now focused on MSSPs and cybersecurity firms.
I studied agricultural engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and I’ve since trained through AWAI’s web copywriting, SEO, analytics, UX, and sales-funnel programs, along with commercial vendor programs from Google and AI tooling providers. I lead with the work, not the credentials.
The methodology
The 21-Day Sales Asset Sprint
A structured engagement to engineer a complete sales asset package for a complex B2B team. Advisor, not owner of the outcome — by design.
Diagnose before prescribing
We start with your buyer, your deal, and where assets are leaking momentum. No template gets applied until I understand the actual conversation.
Define controllable deliverables
We agree on a specific, measurable asset package — the things I control. Strategy, training, and implementation are priced separately so nothing is fuzzy.
Engineer the assets
I build the decks, proposals, calculators, sequences, and scripts — in your voice, for your buyer, with responsible claims throughout.
Deliver, accept, adopt
The deliverable is complete when assets are delivered and accepted. We tie success metrics to adoption as well as revenue. Training is a premium add-on, not the dependency.
The MSSP Message Clarity Method
It translates technical cybersecurity language into business-buyer language — the same translation discipline I applied in industrial refrigeration. Not “we run a 24/7 SOC,” but “here’s what happens to your business at 2 a.m. on a Saturday, and here’s who’s awake.”
Delivery is hybrid: virtual for scale, on-site where adoption is critical. I work directly with your team and lean on tooling where it earns its place.
The Responsible Claims Standard
Credible buyers trust careful language. Here’s the line I hold:
Think we’re a fit?
I qualify before I prescribe. Tell me about your sales motion and we’ll figure out whether the math works — together.
